Pulling into a main sewer pipe ~ pull the sewer pipe

Pulling into a main sewer pipe ~ pull the sewer pipe

Length: 220 meters, Diameter: 1100 mm With the help of trenchless techniques it is possible to install pipes with a diversity of pipe diameters under railway tracks, (national) roads and fairways, whereby the above-ground nuisance is minimized. Age and leaks required this important pipeline to be replaced. The project required as little digging as possible, that's why the state of the art trenchless HDD technology came into play. The pulled in segment shown in this footage is a 220 meter (or 722feet) long, 1100 mm (or 43.3 inch) diameter high-density polyethylene (HDPE) fused pipe using horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and pulling. Yet another successful pull, completed in just two hours.
